Kellogg-HKUST EMBA Tops Inaugural QS Global Rankings

2017-03-03

The Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA (EMBA) Program is ranked the top in the world in the inaugural Global EMBA Rankings conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

For the first time, QS publishes both the “Global EMBA Rankings by Region” and the “Global Joint EMBA Rankings” that features programs jointly delivered by two or more business schools across multiple locations or platforms. The Kellogg-HKUST EMBA is not only ranked the best joint EMBA program, but also the top performing program of the 120 programs rated worldwide.

Welcoming the recognition, Prof Tam Kar Yan, Dean of HKUST Business School, said, “Launched in 1998, the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA is the first joint EMBA program in Asia. The Program has maintained its leading position and found the right strategies for success in an era of constant change. The encouraging result is another best gift to mark the Program’s coming 20th anniversary.”

“Our first move in Asia has turned into a very rewarding venture,” said Prof Steve Dekrey, Associate Dean of HKUST Business School and also the Founding Director of the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA Program. “As a pioneer in the field, the partnership with Kellogg has provided an international perspective and opened up a global network, making it possible for students in the region to benefit from the highest quality of executive education.”

The QS Global EMBA Rankings measured five key indicators of all surveyed programs: recruiter reputation, thought leadership, executive profile, career outcomes and diversity. The Kellogg-EMBA Program has gained remarkable performance across all five dimensions and achieved the highest overall score among the 120 programs rated.

“The repeated recognition of the Program is a testament to its consistent excellence and the firm commitment of students and alumni as well as faculty and staff of the two top-tier business schools,” said Ms Judy Au, Program Director of the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA Program. “We will continue to foster global business leaders by keeping our curriculum under constant review to ensure that our Program will stay ahead of the curve.”
