Only the best

Be proud. Be very proud. HKUST’s world top-ranked* Executive MBA (EMBA), jointly run with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, continues to go from strength to strength. We have been in the top three since 2005 and No.1 globally since 2009.

What is fueling this success? More high-powered applicants want to learn about Asia as the importance of the region continues to rise within the global economy and greater knowledge of China becomes a must for those at the top.  And we are able to attract the best from around the globe as the leading program of its kind in the world.

Indeed 53% of students in 2011-12 are based outside Hong Kong in countries including Russia, Iraq, and India. How does this work? Delivery of the 18-month course is carefully structured to allow students to fly in for studies. Around 45% of participants are originally from Asia, with 30% from the Americas, 22% from Europe and 3% from Oceania. The average age of the current class is 37 and they have an average 14 years of work experience.

Prof Steven DeKrey, Senior Associate Dean of HKUST Business School and Founding Director, Kellogg-HKUST EMBA program, said: “The program attracts high-caliber senior executives from around the world who wish to go one step ahead in their distinguished careers.” Cutting-edge knowledge and the opportunity to learn from world-class faculty from two highly regarded business schools are just two of the remarkable opportunities that keep top participants enrolling in the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA.
